It has been about three years now that we started this freelance website design and development initiative. Certainly we have come along way from our humble beginnings when we were simply helping out a friend (Miltis Boats & Marine Equipment) that was not at all satisfied with what another developer charged and delivered.
Our websites now are a lot more articulated and perfected; design wise, development, SEO, Internet marketing, content and overall branding. Of course still with the same success rate and more so…
All of our clients thus far have come back for updates. And not just because they needed updates so badly. But because their success rate was so high, that they wanted to support our initiative and offer us extra work – i.e. some returns on their own success. Most just came to us and basically said “We are happy with what you’ve done with our website, and it has really worked; do some updates for us with what you believe we need most”. And we did. Take note, always maintain your website, in one way or another; either via design and development updates, or on-going content updates such as blogging, news, multimedia and now social media. If you don’t, then expect rankings to drop.
